John holds a Graduate degree in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and an MBA from Incae.  He has a dual degree in Statistics and another one in Accounting and Finance (CPA).

After earning his MBA, he was invited to join the effort to set up Bain & Company’s first office in Latin America.  He later served at Bain’s offices in London, UK and Sao Paulo, Brazil focusing on growth, turnarounds and Private Equity Consulting.

 

In 2001 he joined Mesoamerica as Partner & MD, actively leading engagements in M&A Advisory and led the Strategy Consulting practice at the firm.

In 2012 after his sabbatical year, he decided to go back to school where he earned his Masters of Science in Analytics at Northwestern University.  After graduating in 2015, he was invited to join the Faculty at Northwestern University were he currently teaches Marketing Analytics, Machine Learning and Statistics.  He was also part of the Faculty team teaching in the Time Series & Forecasting and Advanced Modeling Techniques courses.
